A Light That Lasts: The Ashes-to-Glass Bubbled Candle Holder

A Beautiful Way to Remember

The Ashes-to-Glass Bubbled Candle Holder is more than just a keepsake—it’s a luminous tribute to a life lived and loved. Hand-blown in our Weymouth studio, each piece is a unique fusion of craftsmanship, colour, and cherished memory.

The Making: Where Art Meets Memory

Each candle holder begins with a thoughtful process that honours your loved one:

  1. Ashes and Colour – A small amount of your loved one’s ashes is gently mixed into molten coloured glass, creating unique swirling patterns that reflect their essence.

  2. First Clear Layer – This coloured core is then encased in a layer of clear glass, magnifying the detail within.

  3. Diamond Mould Forming – The piece is shaped inside a diamond mould, giving the outer form its precise and elegant facets.

  4. Bubbled Effect – Finally, another layer of hot clear glass is gathered over the top. This traps tiny pockets of air inside the mould’s crevices, forming the distinctive bubbled appearance—like stars suspended in glass.

Each candle holder is then slowly cooled in a kiln to ensure durability and clarity, creating a lasting memorial ready to cradle a soft, flickering light.

Why Families Choose This Memorial

  • Eternal Warmth – The candlelight filters beautifully through the layered glass and bubbles, casting a peaceful glow.

  • Unique Character – No two are ever the same. Your candle holder will reflect the individuality of the one you’ve lost.

  • Crafted With Care – Handmade with skill and compassion, from the first gather of molten glass to the final polish.
