Frequently Asked Questions

Check below common FAQ's.

Do I need to have any prior experience?

Not at all! Our classes are designed for complete beginners. We’ll guide you through every step of the process and teach you the essential techniques, so you can enjoy creating your own beautiful glass designs—even if it’s your first time.

Are these experiences dangerous?

Glassblowing does involve working with molten glass heated to around 1200ºC, so there is an element of risk. However, your safety is our top priority. We’ve implemented thorough safety procedures and provide full guidance throughout the experience. With over 700 glassblowing sessions completed and zero injuries, you can feel confident that you’re in safe hands.

What should I wear to a glassblowing experience?

All workshop attendees must wear sturdy, flat footwear for safety. We recommend a short-sleeved t-shirt or similar (avoid nylon materials), along with jeans, trousers, or shorts—whatever you’re most comfortable in. Due to the heat of the working environment, breathable, natural fabrics are best.

Long hair must be tied back, and you’re welcome to bring your own sunglasses if you'd like. If you wear contact lenses, please let Stuart know before the session begins.

The mini glass ashes paperweight is beautiful, much better than I imagined it to be. A great way to treasure our little pup who we lost far too soon. The way the light catches the colour is lovely.

Beautiful items, first class service

I recently ordered a candle holder and 2 pendants made with the ashes of our beloved Border Collie, Mirren. The staff are wonderful, and the items were absolutely beautiful. We feel we have Mirren close to us again. Thank you for your professionalism and care.

Something so different to have to remember our beloved dog Bruce. To know it's been hand crafted makes it even more special. I ordered three for myself
and my children and the robin sits pride of place next to our photos of a much missed pup. Thank you. Great quality. Quick turnaround. Carefully packaged.

Photos do not do these items justice. They are so beautiful. Excellent service from start to finish. Will definitely be using again. Thankyou Stuart Wiltshire Glass.

Absolutely beautiful- very lovely way to incorporate loved ones ashes

Beautiful!

Just a beautiful candle holder - colours are stunning (I ordered royal blue and gold) and having bought clear-based tea lights it really glows when the candle is lit. Such a lovely and unique memorial for my Mum & Dad, every part of the ordering process was handled with great care and consideration and the finished article sent out really quickly. I am just delighted.

Excellent product same about customer service

I am so pleased with my paperweight. It is beautifully made. It almost looks like the ashes sparkle in the glass. 10/10

My problem is the customer service. I had a DPD tracking msg to say it was being delivered on the 6th. It didn’t arrived and the tracking said ‘delayed’. It was still delayed the next day so I call to see if I could get any help. I was not impressed. I expressed that I was nervous and worried these were precious ashes. The man that spoke to me showed no compassion or care, he looked on his system and agreed it was delayed, he called to someone else in the room who said “DPD were rubbish” he also said that DPD hadn’t collected their parcels in two days. None of this I cared about. All I wanted was reassurance it would arrive. I was given no feedback as to what to do so I said I would give it couple of days and call back if it didn’t arrive.

Luckily it arrived the following day.

It doesn’t cost anything to give someone a bit of compassion. I dread to think what they would have said and done if it had gone missing.

A treasured tribute of my mum

Stuart has been wonderful throughout this process. I was a little nervous about sending some of mums Ashes but Stuart was very reassuring. He responded quickly to all correspondence and welcomed input from me about how I wanted it to look. The candle holder is truly beautiful - and we will treasure it always. I cant recommend Stuart highly enough.

Ashes to Glass Fish Keepsake
Cynthia Kilbourne
Perfect!!!

We had this fish made out of my Brother in law's ashes, which had previously been in an old prescription bottle. While that may have been kind of appropo, this is much more beautiful and display worthy!

Highly recommend

From the moment I contacted Stuart there was kindness and expertise. The heart is exactly as shown with beautiful colours and made with care. I highly recommend. Stunning and beautiful. Thank you.
