This product is handblown in our seaside studio in Weymouth, Dorset by master glass blower Stuart Wiltshire. Using a variety of precise and unique glass blowing techniques in order to produce a beautiful and detailed sculpture.

Glassblowing Process

I make these myself.

I only make one order at a time, placing the ashes into a metal tray, then gathering the molten glass and first adding any colours you have chosen.

When I have melted these to the surface of the glass, I reheat the glass then pick up a small amount of ashes, (about half a teaspoon full) for a paperweight, but need a bit more to make sure I have enough, returning any left over with your order.

I then mix the ashes and colour together in my Glory hole at about 1180 degrees C into swirls and patterns.  I then cool the first part down to about 650 degrees and gather molten 1120 degrees glass over the top encasing the ashes inside.

I then hand-shape and make this into your chosen piece, whether it be a paperweight, candle holder, heart paperweight, small Vortex vase or even a heart shaped sculpture.

I assure you, your chosen piece will be made with the upmost respect and passion. as I have a serious love for glass-making and making people happy using the skills I have been lucky enough to learn and share.

"Another piece of lovely glass. I have a wave made by Stuart containing my son ashes. Which is lovely. So I have been back to see him. Ordered a pendant again with my son’s ashes in. So happy with it."

Deborah K.

"Unsure whether to do this with my Mum's ashes but I'm so glad I did. It's heavier than I thought it would be, it's really great quality. The ashes can be clearly seen mixed with glass. The service and communication were brilliant. "

Cynthia K.

"Much more beautiful in person. This is beyond stunning! I am so pleased with the beauty, quality, craftsmanship, speed and ease with which this process took place! I am so grateful to have found Stuart (no coincidence that 'Art' is in his name). Everything was so easy, and I felt so comfortable every step of the way."

"Stuart has been wonderful throughout this process. I was a little nervous about sending some of mums Ashes but Stuart was very reassuring. He responded quickly to all correspondence and welcomed input from me about how I wanted it to look. I cant recommend Stuart highly enough."

"We were more than pleased with how the keepsake turned out, the colours are beautiful and the ashes can be seen clearly. It looks great when the sun hits it."
